Chris made building the WRAD Centre a hassle free project - from the first sketches right thorough to us moving in.
As Chris originally designed our home he was the obvious choice when we decided to add a second storey.
The extension Chris designed really completes our home — we spend most of our time in it.
Chris Baudinette B Arch. RAIA studied Architecture at Deakin University and after graduating in 1982 gained broad experience in range of Melbourne and regional Victorian architectural offices before establishing his own practice in 1991.
The practice now has a portfolio of over 20 years worth of built projects throughout western Victoria, ranging from residential (new and renovation), through to institutional and commercial projects of all scales. Along the way Chris has project managed many important local and state government architectural projects. Today the practice continues to provide experienced advice to a range of clients seeking quality design solutions that are innovative, practical and economical to build and operate.
This is recognized as one of the keys to successful Architecture. Consequently we place great emphasis on listening to our client from the very begging, to ensure we undertsnad exactly what they want. We continue to review our design solutions with out clients through the design and construction process to ensure that the original intent is realized in the final solution.
It's critcal to have documentation which can be clearly understood by all relevant parties. The preparation of clear and unambiguous drawing and specifications for permit submissions and for use by contractors is important in providing confidence in the scope and details of work proposed, avoiding delay and extra cost at both the design and construction stage.
A Team Approach
This is important to achieve a good solution. Many project require the involvement of allied consultants such as Engineers and Surveyors etc. The practice has long standing relationship and call in any of the full suite of consultants who may be required, depending on the type of project.

Is particularly relevant in this exposed coastal region, so we have always given a high priority to basic design considerations like weather protection and solar access.
